European Union Foreign Policy Chief Kaja Kallas has suggested that the EU may consider alternative mechanisms to address the stalled Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, beyond traditional negotiations.

In an interview with Radio Free Europe, Kallas stated:
“Maybe it’s dialogue, maybe it’s another tool. I am open to reviewing this and will do so with the Special Representative in the coming days.”

Kallas, who is set to visit the Western Balkans next week, acknowledged that the dialogue has hit a deadlock, with both sides repeatedly blaming each other. She emphasized that the main goal remains the normalization of relations so that both countries can move forward on their EU integration paths.

Additionally, Kallas addressed broader geopolitical concerns, including the EU-US trade dispute, a potential ceasefire in Ukraine, and Europe’s security strategy regarding Russia.
