The Republic of Sudan has officially recognized the Republic of Kosovo’s independence.
This was confirmed by President Vjosa Osmani during a meeting with Sudan’s top diplomat, as reported by the online news outlet Reporteri.net.
“Congratulations to all citizens of our state! 🇽🇰 🇸🇩,” Osmani posted on social media.
With this recognition, Sudan becomes the 119th country to acknowledge Kosovo’s statehood.
Recently, Kenya also recognized Kosovo’s independence, marking another step for the country on the international stage.
