Three police officers from the Podujevë Police Station have been honored with medals for saving lives following their courageous actions in two serious incidents.
Among them is police officer Skender Fetahu, who on July 2 intervened in a serious incident in Podujevë in which three people were injured.
In a dangerous situation, Fetahu acted with courage and selflessness, managing to disarm one of the suspects and prevent the situation from escalating further.
Meanwhile, the other two police officers, Nazimi and Shqiproni, managed to prevent an even greater tragedy through their intervention, saving the life of a young woman.
Lieutenant Antigona Çitaku-Dibrani also expressed her pride in the three officers, praising their courage, dedication and professionalism in serving citizens.
“Today, three heroes of our station were honored with life-saving medals. Proud of you and of the courage, dedication and professionalism you demonstrate every day in the service of citizens. Congratulations and endless respect to you!” she wrote.
