The acting Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has welcomed Sudan’s recognition of Kosovo’s independence.
In a Facebook post, Kurti expressed hope that diplomatic relations between the two countries will expand and strengthen, IndeksOnline reports.
Interestingly, Kurti reserved his thanks for President Vjosa Osmani until the end of his statement.

“Our state has gained a new recognition and our people a new friendship. We warmly welcome the recognition from the State of Sudan, which comes just weeks after that from Kenya.
We hope the establishment of diplomatic relations between our two countries will expand and strengthen further.
Congratulations to the citizens of our Republic, and thank you to the President of Sudan for this important decision for the relationship between our two countries, as well as to our own President for her engagement, and to our friends and partners for their continued support.”
