U.S. and Latvian soldiers assigned to the Regional Command-East of the KFOR mission have recently conducted intensive helicopter sling load training exercises, both during the day and night.

According to KFOR, the training focused on sling load operations, which involve transporting vehicles or supplies via ropes attached to rotary-wing aircraft. The exercises are designed to ensure that troops remain fully prepared for rapid logistical response during operations.

“Conducting sling load training allows KFOR troops to remain ready to transport vehicles or supplies using helicopters at a moment’s notice,” the statement from KFOR emphasized.

These drills are part of ongoing readiness activities by NATO-led KFOR troops to maintain peace and security in Kosovo and ensure their capability to respond swiftly in emergencies or peacekeeping missions.
