Kosovo and the U.S. Continue to Deepen Cooperation in Defense and Security

The Acting Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, met today with the Adjutant General of the Iowa National Guard, Major General Stephen Osborn, to discuss Kosovo’s readiness to deepen its defense relations.

According to a statement from the Ministry of Defense, as part of this partnership, preparations are underway for a joint deployment of Kosovo Security Force units alongside those of the Iowa National Guard in the United States.

“Additionally, within the framework of the State Partnership Program, both sides agreed to further advance cooperation through joint trainings, education programs, exercises, and other military activities,” the statement reads.

Furthermore, Minister Maqedonci expressed his gratitude to General Osborn and, through him, thanked the United States for its continued and unwavering support of Kosovo’s security forces.
