Three people were injured today in a chain-reaction traffic accident near the “Ura e Drinit” (Drin Bridge) in Gjakova.
The accident involved five vehicles.
The incident was confirmed by Albin Sahatqija, Commander of the Regional Traffic Unit in Gjakova.
“It is suspected that the accident occurred due to failure to maintain distance by the last vehicle. The driver struck the fourth car, which was stationary. In fact, four vehicles were stopped, and due to the impact, three other vehicles were hit in sequence,” Sahatqija stated.
He added that the injuries sustained in the accident were minor.
“The individuals were treated at the hospital and have since been discharged,” he said.
