President Osmani on Official Visit to Finland, Scheduled to Hold High-Level Meetings

The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has traveled today on an official visit to Finland at the invitation of Finnish President Alexander Stubb.

The visit began with an official ceremony at the Presidential Palace in Helsinki, where after a formal welcome, Osmani and Stubb held a one-on-one meeting, followed by a meeting with the respective delegations of both countries.

President Stubb also hosted an official luncheon for President Osmani and her delegation. One of the highlights of the visit was the awarding of the Presidential Military Medal to the Finnish Armed Forces, in appreciation of their contribution to peace and security in Kosovo, as part of the KFOR mission.

During her stay in Helsinki, President Osmani will also be received by the Speaker of the Finnish Parliament, Jussi Halla-aho, and the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Elina Valtonen.

Her agenda also includes a keynote discussion at the University of Helsinki, where President Osmani will speak on “Kosovo’s Vision for European Integration, Peace, and Stability”, addressing students, academics, and diplomats.

Additionally, Osmani will meet with representatives of the Kosovar diaspora in Finland to discuss recent developments in Kosovo and to express gratitude for their role in promoting and strengthening the country abroad.
