Naser Shala, a prominent member of Brigade 121 of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), has passed away. Shala, known by his war nickname “Ftyra”, was one of the earliest soldiers to join the brigade.

The news was shared by his relative, Fatmir Surdhaj, via a Facebook post.

The full announcement reads:
“We regret to inform you that after a short illness, Naser Bislim Shala, known as Ftyra, has passed away. He was a soldier from Brigade 121 and served with great dedication during the war.”

Naser was a crucial figure in the KLA’s military organization, fulfilling many important roles, especially in the frontlines. He was known for his courage and strong commitment to the cause.

In honor of Naser’s service, his relative continued:
“Ftyra was always beloved by his comrades and stood heroically with them in the toughest of times.”

His devotion to the cause was unwavering, and he will forever be remembered as a hero. “May his soul rest in peace, as he has fulfilled his duty for the homeland.”
