Vetëvendosje Movement MP Salih Zyba was present on Friday at the Basic Court in Prishtina, where the trial is ongoing against the defendants Dejan Pantiq, Milun Milenković, Aleksandar Vlajić, and Miomir Vakić, charged with the attack on the offices of the Municipal Election Commission (KKZ) in North Mitrovica in December 2022.
In this session, the prosecutor from the Special Prosecution Office, Bekim Kodraliu, continued presenting material evidence.
He submitted 14 reports from the Kosovo Police, which, according to him, contain video recordings and conversations between the accused, demonstrating their coordination during the execution of the attack, as reported by “Betimi për Drejtësi”.
According to the prosecutor, these pieces of evidence not only prove the individual actions of the accused but also their collaboration with the intent to intimidate KKZ officials because of their official duties.
The trial continues with the defense lawyers challenging the evidence.
According to the indictment, Pantiq, Milenković, Vlajić, and Vakić allegedly carried out a terrorist attack on the KKZ offices on December 6, 2022, at 14:39, by throwing hand grenades and stun grenades.
On December 13, 2023, the Special Prosecution of the Republic of Kosovo announced the filing of the indictment against Pantiq and the other three.
Previously, on December 12, 2022, the Basic Court in Prishtina ordered one month of pre-trial detention for former Serbian police officer Dejan Pantiq. On December 28, 2022, the court replaced this measure with house arrest.
Pantiq had been arrested on December 10, 2022, at the Jarinje border crossing, an event that triggered strong reactions from the Serbian side, followed by the erection of barricades at border points.
