The Kosovo Liberation Army Veterans’ Organization (OVL-KLA) has reacted to the decisions of the Specialist Chambers in The Hague, stating that their requests to visit former KLA leaders who are in pretrial detention have been refused, according to Rks News.
“The Specialist Chambers in The Hague, through unprecedented and unilateral decisions, have rejected two official requests for visits by OVL-KLA representatives to our imprisoned comrades,” their statement reads.
According to OVL-KLA, this approach is “exclusive, contemptuous, and selective.”

Refusal of visits in The Hague, a low and shameful act
With deep anger, we inform the public that the Specialist Chambers in The Hague, through unprecedented and unilateral decisions, have rejected two official requests for visits by OVL-KLA representatives to our imprisoned comrades.
Specifically:
The visit requested on April 21, 2025, by Mr. Fehmi Gucati, Mr. Hysni Gucati, and Mr. Bedri Ahmeti to Mr. Shala, Mr. Krasniqi, and Mr. Mustafa was rejected without any reasonable justification.
Similarly, on May 14, 2025, the visit to Mr. Hashim Thaçi and Mr. Kadri Veseli was rejected, for whom we requested to be present in a humane and moral manner.
We are also informed that Mr. Rexhep Selimi has made a request to allow this visit. This request is still in procedure, but we are well aware of the response that will come—another unjust and inappropriate NO.
This exclusive, contemptuous, and selective approach is clear evidence that the Specialist Chambers are not aiming for justice, but rather the humiliation of the representatives of Kosovo’s liberation struggle.
The refusal of visits is nothing more than an attempt to isolate our just struggle, even in memory.
But this will never happen!
The KLA will not be isolated, it will not bow, and it will not remain silent!
We urgently demand that these decisions be reversed and that the inhumane and political treatment of our comrades be stopped.
