The Ministry of Economy in Kosovo, under the leadership of Acting Minister Artane Rizvanolli, has announced the closure of the parallel water supply company “Ibar” in North Mitrovica, following a request by the Public Enterprise Monitoring Department.
Rizvanolli shared the news on Facebook, emphasizing that this is a concrete step in favor of rule of law and the proper functioning of public services by state institutions. She noted that the closure aligns with the agreement signed in January 2025 between the KRU Mitrovica water utility and the Municipality of North Mitrovica, ensuring that regular and quality services will be provided to the citizens of North Mitrovica by KRU Mitrovica in full compliance with Kosovo’s laws.
She also expressed gratitude to Kosovo Police for their support and thanked KRU Mitrovica for their willingness to serve all citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, without discrimination.
