The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has commemorated the 26th anniversary of the massacres committed by the Serbian regime in the villages of Qyshk, Zahaq, Pavlan, and Llabjan.

In an emotional post on social media, President Osmani expressed sorrow and respect for the innocent Albanian civilians brutally killed, calling the acts crimes committed by a genocidal regime.

“Today we remember with pain and honor the victims of the massacres in Qyshk, Zahaq, Llabjan, and Pavlan — innocent civilians, family members and neighbors — murdered mercilessly by the forces of the genocidal Serbian regime,” she wrote.

Osmani also highlighted the number of victims in each village:

Qyshk: 44 civilians killed

Zahaq: 17 victims

Pavlan: 21 killed

Llabjan: 13 massacred

“They were killed simply because they were Albanian,” Osmani emphasized, adding that justice is still missing and that the memory of the victims remains eternal.

She concluded her message with a powerful call:

“Let this day be a call for justice. Kosovo will never forget!”
