Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has received a congratulatory message from European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen following his victory in the May 11 elections.
In a social media post, von der Leyen praised the progress Albania has made under Rama’s leadership on its path toward European integration.
“Congratulations on your election victory! Under your leadership, Albania has made great strides toward our Union. Let us continue working closely together on reforms for the EU. Albania deserves to be in the EU! I look forward to congratulating you in person tomorrow in Tirana,” she wrote.
