Acting Prime Minister Albin Kurti visited on Thursday the renovation works at the National Theatre of Kosovo, where seven million euros are being invested in its restoration, reports Rks News.

“When the works are completed, it will look brand new but at the same time remain authentic, because beyond being a home for art, the National Theatre is also a heritage asset that we must preserve,” said Kurti.

He also stated that the National Museum of Kosovo is undergoing a full restoration, with a special focus on providing proper conditions for the preservation of artifacts and rethinking the permanent exhibition.

Kurti further mentioned the restoration of the Hyniler family house and the traditional homes of the Safqi and Sylejmani families in the old town, as well as the Red Cross building—symbolizing solidarity and dedication to those in need.

Renovation is also ongoing at the National Gallery of Kosovo, where new spaces are being added for the preservation of the state’s art collection. Improvements are also being made at the central building of the State Archives Agency, aiming to enhance conditions and spaces for the preservation of archival materials.

“These investments are crucial for the preservation of cultural heritage and the improvement of conditions for art and our collective memory,” Kurti concluded.
