The Iranian hacker group “Homeland Justice” has claimed responsibility for a cyberattack on the official website of the Tirana Municipality, disabling it and interrupting the city’s online services, reports Rks News.
In a Telegram post, the group stated that they had taken down the site, extracted data, and erased the municipality’s servers. They warned Albania to expel the MEK organization, which they labeled as terrorists, criticizing the legal refuge and facilities granted to them.
“Our retaliation is in response to the actions of the Tirana Municipality and the Albanian government, which support the MEK,” the message reads, warning that attacks will continue.
Currently, the municipality’s website is offline, while authorities are working to restore services and investigate the cyberattack.
