Following the United States’ recent airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities, several Arab nations have swiftly condemned the actions, expressing deep concern over the escalating tensions in the Middle East.

Oman, a key mediator in nuclear talks between Washington and Tehran, issued a strong condemnation of the US strikes. The Gulf Sultanate “expresses deep concern, denouncement, and condemnation of the escalation resulting from the direct airstrikes launched by the United States.”

Saudi Arabia, a close regional ally with strong security ties to the US, stated it “condemns the violation of Iran’s sovereignty and emphasizes the need for restraint.” The Kingdom called on the international community “to redouble efforts in these extremely sensitive circumstances to reach a political solution.”

Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs warned that “the current dangerous tensions will lead to catastrophic consequences at the regional and international levels.” It expressed hope that “all parties will show wisdom and restraint at this time.”

Egypt cautioned against “the risks of the region sliding into chaos and further tension,” stressing that “political solutions and diplomatic negotiations, not a military solution, are the only way out of the crisis.”

Meanwhile, Lebanese President Joseph Aoun stated that “the bombing of Iranian nuclear facilities raises the level of fear of an escalation of tensions that would threaten security and stability in more than one region and country,” as reported by the BBC.
