A meeting between Vetëvendosje leader Albin Kurti and LDK leader Lumir Abdixhiku has begun at the Kosovo Assembly.
The meeting is part of ongoing efforts to overcome the political deadlock and reach an agreement on the formation and functioning of Kosovo’s new institutions, reports IndeksOnline.
Former President Vjosa Osmani and LDK Deputy Leader Lutfi Haziri are also attending the meeting.
Ahead of the meeting, Kurti said he was approaching the talks with a positive attitude.
“We will meet with the LDK and see how we can move forward together. Naturally, in good faith and in a positive atmosphere,” Kurti said.
Kurti and Abdixhiku have met previously, but so far they have failed to reach a final agreement.
The latest talks are being closely watched as political parties seek a way out of the institutional deadlock, including a possible agreement on a consensus president.
