Italian authorities have discovered a 27-kilogram cache of narcotics in an apartment in Vigevano, northern Italy. The drug find was made during an operation by the Carabinieri of the Genoa Center Company’s Operations Unit.
During their investigation, police observed suspicious behavior from a 29-year-old Albanian man, whom they followed to his residence. After stopping him, they found 58 grams of cocaine in his possession, leading to a detailed search of his apartment.
Inside the apartment, officers found 22 kilograms of hashish, divided into 122 packages, stored inside a refrigerator. Additionally, 5 kilograms of cocaine were discovered hidden in various locations and sealed with the image of actor Al Pacino in his “Scarface” role—a symbol often used by traffickers to mark their merchandise.
Law enforcement also seized approximately 7,000 euros in cash, suspected to be proceeds from drug trafficking activities.
The 29-year-old was immediately arrested and transferred to Pavia prison. Investigations against him are still ongoing.
