A fire broke out in a section of the “Kosova A” Thermal Power Plant (TCA) today, resulting in the burning of some dry grass due to high temperatures.

Situation Under Control, KEK Confirms

Skënder Bucolli, spokesperson for the Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK), told Reporteri.net that there’s no cause for concern, assuring that the situation is under control. He stated that the fire is currently being localized.

“In a section of the surfaces/separations at the ‘Kosova A’ Thermal Power Plant (TCA), due to high temperatures, some dry grass has burned – a common occurrence that also happens in other places under similar climatic conditions,” Bucolli explained. “The fire is being localized, and the situation is under control. KEK’s firefighting teams are on site and are acting efficiently to ensure the full management and elimination of the fire.”
