Acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, took part in the farewell reception organized for the United Nations Resident Coordinator in Kosovo, Arnhild Spence.
In his remarks at the event, Kurti said that Spence assumed her role during a time of global turbulence, as the world was facing numerous challenges—from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine to rising living costs and energy crises. He emphasized that during this challenging period, Kosovo was fortunate to have Arnhild Spence as a close partner to the Government.
“Thanks in part to our excellent cooperation, our country’s development not only stayed on the right path but has also flourished despite these challenges. This extraordinary progress continues to be reflected in the latest data, which show that in the first quarter of 2025, Kosovo’s economy grew at an annual rate of 3.6%,” Kurti stated.
He went on to highly commend Spence’s support, saying she played a vital role in facilitating the Government’s collaboration with the UN team.
“Inspired by your commitment, we will continue to advance the Sustainable Development Goals and work toward a brighter and more hopeful future for generations to come,” Kurti concluded.
