The Central Election Commission (CEC) has announced that the period for verifying and changing voting centers within the same municipality is ongoing. This initiative is part of the preparations for the upcoming Local Elections for Mayors and Municipal Assemblies.

Key Dates and Numbers

The period for these changes began on June 28 and will continue until August 29, 2025. As of July 18, a total of 851 citizens have already changed their voting center within the municipality where they are registered.

How to Verify or Change Voting Centers

The CEC stated that changing a voting center within the same municipality is at the voter’s discretion, allowing them to choose a center closer to their residence. During this period, eligible voters can verify or change their voting center through the CEC’s electronic platform at https://qv.kqz-ks.org, or by submitting a request to the Municipal Election Commission in the respective municipality.

Inter-Municipal Changes and Address Updates

The CEC also clarified that changing a voting center from one municipality to another cannot be done directly through their institution. Such a change is linked to the voter’s official declaration of their residential address.

To switch to a voting center in a different municipality, voters must change their address through the Civil Status Office or the E-Kosova platform. Once the new address is confirmed by the Civil Status Service, it will automatically be reflected in the Central Civil Registry. All residential address changes made by August 29, 2025, will be reflected on the CEC’s platform and in the Voters List for the upcoming elections.
