The Acting Deputy Minister of Infrastructure, Hysen Durmishi, has announced that the asphalting has begun on the bridge and the roads connecting the southern and northern sides of the Ibër River.
“Only 54 days since we started. Today asphalt is being laid on the bridge and the roads that connect the bridge on the south and north of the Ibër,” Durmishi wrote on Facebook, sharing photos from the construction site.
The construction of the two new bridges over the Ibër River was inaugurated on July 1. One bridge is dedicated exclusively to pedestrians, while the other will serve both vehicles and pedestrians. On Sunday, photos were published showing one of the bridges illuminated.
The bridges are expected to open for use in September, easing communication and movement in this area.
