On the 27th anniversary of the heroic fall of Kosovo Liberation Army Commander Ismet Jashari – Kumanova, Kosovo’s Acting Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, accompanied by members of parliament and close associates, paid tribute today at his grave.
Prime Minister Kurti highly praised the contribution and sacrifice of Commander Kumanova, describing him as an outstanding figure in the struggle for freedom and independence.
He emphasized that through honoring the nation’s martyrs, the people of Kosovo express respect for the blood shed, which serves as the foundation of the state and the Republic of Kosovo.
“We recall their ideals, because only with those ideals before us can we make progress for our people — in terms of freedom and democracy, but also in economic development and social welfare. Glory to Commander Ismet Jashari – Kumanova and to all martyrs of the Albanian nation!” said Kurti, as reported by the Prime Minister’s Office.
