The death toll from the armed attack at a bus station in northern Jerusalem this morning has risen to six, confirmed Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar.

The incident occurred at around 10:13 a.m., when gunmen opened fire on civilians and commuters, leaving behind scenes of chaos — vehicles and bus stops riddled with bullets.

Israeli authorities announced that the two attackers were “neutralized” at the scene. So far, no group has officially claimed responsibility. However, Hamas praised the assailants, calling the act a “natural response” to Israeli military operations in Gaza, Reuters reported.

The victims include a 50-year-old man, a woman in her fifties, and three men in their thirties, while several of the wounded remain in critical condition.
