Ramush Haradinaj, leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), announced that he will not personally attend the protest on September 14 in The Hague, where former leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (UCK) are being tried.
When asked by KosovaPress about his participation, Haradinaj emphasized that, although he will not be present personally, he fully supports the protest, as do many members of the Albanian diaspora.
He added that the protest sends a strong message that the UCK’s fight was just, liberating, and remains so.
“I personally cannot attend, but as you know, we hold deep respect for the diaspora, not just now but historically, for all patriotic Albanians who love freedom. They support the protest as a message that our fight was just and liberating. I invite everyone who can to participate and send a powerful message that the struggle for Kosovo’s liberation was right and liberating,” Haradinaj said.
This statement came after Haradinaj paid tribute to the victims of the September 11 terrorist attacks in the U.S.
