Petrit Hajdari, the PDK candidate for mayor of Drenas, will not launch his election campaign on September 13, as scheduled, because he plans to travel to The Hague to participate in the protest on September 14 in support of Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi, and Rexhep Selimi.
Hajdari announced this decision in a video message shared on his Facebook page, stating:
“The freedom of President Thaçi, Chairmen Krasniqi and Veseli, and Deputy Selimi is more important than anything else.”
September 13 marks the official start of the electoral campaign period. Across all municipalities, political parties will hold their opening rallies on this date, including Hajdari’s competitors in Drenas.
Hajdari has confirmed that he will officially launch his campaign after returning from The Hague.
