PRISHTINA – Today marks 26 years since the Battle of Kaqandoll, one of the most glorious battles of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA).
The Battle of Kaqandoll holds a special place in Kosovo’s history, as it was the first frontal battle in the Llap region between the KLA and Serbian forces. The three-day clash symbolized the determination of the KLA to resist Serbian oppression and defend the local population.
Fallen Heroes
During this historic battle, seven KLA fighters fell as martyrs:
- Bekim Maliqi
- Bekim Lushaku
- Naim Zhegrova
- Fadil Sejdiu
- Habib Zeka
- Islam Rekaliu
- Selim Rekaliu
Their sacrifice is remembered as a cornerstone of Kosovo’s struggle for freedom and independence.
