FSK Commander: Kosovo Must Be a Full Member of the Adriatic Charter

Kosovo Security Force (FSK) Commander, Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, participated in the 28th Adriatic Charter A5 Conference held in Tirana, where regional security strengthening and shared challenges in the Western Balkans were discussed.

The conference was led by the Commander of the U.S. European Command (EUCOM) and concurrently the Supreme Allied Commander Europe (SACEUR), with Albania and Bosnia-Herzegovina serving as co-chairs.

Defense chiefs from regional countries and Adjutants General of partner states’ National Guards also attended the sessions.

During his speech, General Jashari emphasized the need for Kosovo’s full membership in this initiative, noting that such a step would contribute to greater peace and security in the Western Balkans.

As part of the conference, he held bilateral meetings with EUCOM and SACEUR Commander General Alexus G. Grynkewich, as well as with Chief of the General Staff of the Albanian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Arben Kingji.

In conclusion, the participating states agreed that initiatives like these are essential to strengthen cooperation and address shared security challenges in the region.
