Director General of the Kosovo Police, Gazmend Hoxha, stated that recent drone flights have been recorded in the northern part of the country, suspected to originate from Serbian territory. He confirmed that the Police are in continuous contact with KFOR and are actively monitoring the situation.

“Recently, we have had drone flights that we suspect are coming from Serbian territory in northern Kosovo. The Police are in contact with KFOR, and we are monitoring the situation to determine the next steps,” Hoxha said following a weapons destruction ceremony.

He emphasized that the risk is limited to the border area and does not pose a threat to citizens, who are protected by state institutions.

“It is dangerous for the border area, yes, but not for our citizens. We are also ensuring their protection. Meanwhile, the airspace is under KFOR’s responsibility,” Hoxha added.

He further stated that international institutions have been informed about the situation, and the responsibility lies with KFOR.

“We have informed KFOR and our partners. KFOR is responsible and is working on this issue,” Hoxha concluded.
