Voters and officials were urgently evacuated from the Moldovan Embassy in central Brussels on Sunday after reports of a bomb in the building, which later proved to be false.
Two officials, speaking anonymously to POLITICO, confirmed that the embassy was evacuated following the alarm, and that police found no evidence of any threat.
The incident occurred while thousands of Moldovans living in Brussels cast their votes throughout the day at an overseas polling station set up within the diplomatic mission.
