The Organization of UÇK War Veterans (OVL-UÇK) announced that a peaceful protest will be held on October 17 in Tirana in support of the former commanders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (UÇK), who are currently facing trial at the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague.
The announcement was made during a press conference in the Albanian capital.
Hysni Gucati, Chairman of OVL-UÇK, stated that this protest follows two previous demonstrations—one in Prishtina and another in The Hague.
“Today, from this platform, we call on all Albanians and political parties: Join us in this peaceful protest in Tirana. Let us stand together as one nation against injustices,” Gucati said.
The protest will take place at Skënderbeu Square and is expected to draw participants from all Albanian territories, showing support for the former UÇK leaders facing international justice proceedings.
