A Serbian man was stopped yesterday at the Han i Elezit border crossing and intercepted with a cache of cold weapons that posed a clear and immediate danger.
During a routine vehicle inspection, border police discovered two axes and three large knives hidden in the car. Officers immediately confiscated the weapons and took the suspect into custody.
Authorities say the seizure prevented what could have been a violent incident, underlining the real risk such armaments present to public safety — especially when transported across borders without authorization. The prosecutor has been notified and the case has been opened on charges of illegal possession of weapons.
