Albanian President Bajram Begaj, together with his counterparts Natasha Pirc-Musar of Slovenia and Zoran Milanović of Croatia, held a joint press conference during the Brdo-Brijuni Summit in Durrës.
In his address, President Begaj emphasized the importance of international cooperation for peace, development, and integration:
“Albania supports regional dialogue and good-neighborly relations as essential elements for maintaining peace, fostering economic development, and advancing regional integration. The Western Balkans has made significant progress in terms of regional cooperation, security, and economic relations. However, our region continues to face challenges—security challenges that require increased cooperation and closer coordination among us.”
Begaj also highlighted the significance of the EU Growth Plan for Western Balkan countries:
“The European Union’s Growth Plan for our region represents a valuable opportunity for economic development, as it provides access to EU financial instruments, trade facilitation, and joint programs that support comprehensive progress.”
