President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani stated that her Serbian counterpart, Aleksandar Vučić, attempted to disrupt the Brdo-Brijuni Summit held in Durrës through insults and arrogance.

In a statement to the media, Osmani said:

“As in other Brdo-Brijuni meetings—perhaps even more so this time—Serbia’s Vučić addressed the summit with insults and arrogance, attempting to derail the meeting. However, in the end, we managed to adopt the joint declaration unanimously. Naturally, for every piece of propaganda that Vučić tried to present, we as the Republic of Kosovo had strong arguments—arguments grounded in justice, supported and reinforced by international law through the ruling of the International Court of Justice.”

Osmani emphasized that Kosovo supports regional cooperation, but will always defend its state interests:

“Kosovo stands for regional cooperation, but at the same time, we will defend our national interests, our sovereignty, and our territorial integrity. Even though Vučić expressed complaints about our defense pact with Albania and Croatia, we jointly reaffirmed that this cooperation aims to strengthen our defense. My response was clear—throughout our history as a nation, we have never attacked or occupied anyone; we have always defended ourselves.”
