The largest voting center in Prishtina has officially opened at the Faculty of Philology of the University of Prishtina, marking one of the capital’s key polling locations for today’s runoff elections.
This voting center contains 9 polling stations, serving a total of 7,589 eligible voters.
Across Prishtina, 222,418 citizens are registered to vote of whom 222,326 will cast their ballots within the city, while 1,727 Prishtina residents are registered as out-of-country voters.
The center’s manager, Emanuel Gjolekaj, confirmed that all sensitive election materials and security cameras arrived on time, though a support table is still missing.
The Municipality of Prishtina has 54 polling centers with a total of 268 polling stations, plus one conditional voting center with two additional stations.
In the capital’s second-round race, the candidates are Përparim Rama of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) and Hajrulla Çeku of Vetëvendosje (LVV).
Across Kosovo, the runoff elections are being held in 18 municipalities, with voting taking place in 525 polling centers and 1,648 polling stations — including 507 regular centers and 18 conditional voting centers (one per municipality).
In total, 1,316,672 citizens are eligible to vote in today’s local election runoffs.
