Prime Minister-designate Glauk Konjufca addressed the parliamentary session convened to vote on his appointment, warning that the country’s current political deadlock risks further destabilization.
Konjufca stated that 2025 will be remembered as a year in which his parliamentary majority struggled to establish functioning institutions. Speaking directly to the deputies, he requested their support for forming the government he aims to lead.
He highlighted that in northern Kosovo, Serbia-linked criminal and smuggling networks have been successfully countered.
On the international front, Konjufca noted progress during his potential mandate, including the facilitation of visa-free travel for Kosovo citizens and the attainment of three additional international recognitions.
“Without a new government, our country is certain to face a deepening of the current crisis,” Konjufca declared, underscoring the urgency of parliamentary action.
