Arbnor Spahiu, who was arrested by Serbian authorities on June 7 this year, was released Thursday at noon from a Serbian prison. Spahiu announced the news himself via a social media post, stating that he had been subjected to an unjust and political process.

“Yesterday at noon, I was released from the Serbian prison, where I had been unjustly detained since June 7 this year on serious charges, which were part of a completely political and unfair process. I want to inform you that I am well, stronger than ever, and grateful for all the support during this difficult period,” he said.

Spahiu also expressed special gratitude for the financial support from fellow citizens, describing it as very valuable during this time.

He extended particular thanks to his lawyer, Gvozden Grgur, for his dedication and professionalism.

“My main lawyer was professional, tireless, and committed to fighting for justice and defending me at every step,” Spahiu wrote, also thanking the translator who provided crucial support throughout the process.

Finally, Spahiu expressed being deeply moved by the reaction of citizens following his release.

“The joy I see in people’s eyes, their love and happiness for my release, cannot be described in words,” he concluded, wishing, “God bless you all.”
