At the “Adem Jashari” KSF barracks, the handover ceremony of the Rheinmetall vehicle donation worth 2.7 million euros from the Federal Republic of Germany to the Kosovo Security Force was held.
Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, declared that the value of this donation is 2.7 million euros.
“It is a pleasure and a special honor to accept today’s donation worth 2.7 million euros. Our partner plays an important role, and therefore we are very grateful, continuing with a total of 3.8 million euros. I thank the ambassador for the contribution, and of course, this cooperation will continue further with the aim of contributing to peace and security in the country and the region,” said Maqedonci.
Meanwhile, the German Ambassador to Kosovo, Jorn Rohde, once again emphasized the relationship between the two states, Kosovo and Germany, highlighting million-dollar collaborations in the field of security.
“I want to emphasize the excellent relationship between Germany and Kosovo. I am very pleased to be here today during the million-dollar donations. I thank Minister Maqedonci for participating in this ceremony,” said Ambassador Rohde.
Rohde, together with Minister Maqedonci, handed over the keys of the 5 military vans.
Both of them saw one from inside.
The German ambassador on this occasion said that today the connection between Germany and Kosovo is one step closer.
“Today the connection between Germany and Kosovo is one step closer, this is happening through our officials such as attachés, I am very pleased to be here today at this donation of five trucks, I know that this project started in 2022 with Minister Mehaj and the representative group. This is aid for transportation, meaning we now have a total of 15 trucks,” said the German ambassador.
