The Mayor of Ranilug Municipality, Tanja Antić, has been escorted to the Kosovo Police for questioning on suspicion of exerting pressure and influence on voters during Kosovo’s extraordinary parliamentary elections.
According to sources within the Kosovo Police, Antić is currently being interviewed in connection with allegations of voter intimidation, specifically targeting supporters of other Serbian political parties.
Suspicions of Coordinated Electoral Pressure
Sources cited by Gazeta Express claim that Antić is suspected of acting as part of a broader, structured effort aimed at directing votes toward the Serbian List, allegedly through coercion and intimidation.
While no formal charges have been confirmed at this stage, the case is being handled by law enforcement authorities in coordination with the prosecution, as part of ongoing efforts to protect the free will of voters and the integrity of the electoral process.
Authorities Monitoring Election Irregularities
Kosovo institutions have repeatedly stressed that any attempt to pressure voters or manipulate electoral choice constitutes a serious criminal offense. Prosecutors and police officers remain deployed across the country to respond swiftly to reports of election-related violations, particularly in sensitive areas.
The Kosovo Police and the prosecution have not yet issued an official statement regarding the outcome of the interview, and the investigation remains ongoing.
