A candidate for Member of Parliament from the Serbian List, Srećko Spasić, has seriously violated the election silence by instructing voters on whom to vote for by publishing specific candidate numbers.

On his Facebook profile, a few hours ago, he posted the numbers of several parliamentary candidates and called on citizens to vote for them, TV1 reports.

According to Kosovo’s Election Law, election silence begins with the opening of polling stations on election day.

The Serbian List also conducted organized voting today in northern Mitrovica, which is likewise prohibited under Kosovo’s Election Law.

The Government of Serbia had appointed Srećko Spasić as head of the Temporary Municipal Body of the Municipality of Viti. He was also a candidate for mayor of Kllokot in the local elections but withdrew from the race a few days before the second round, in favor of the Serbian List.

Meanwhile, Spasić has deleted the post from his Facebook profile.
