Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a law prohibiting the enforcement of rulings issued by foreign criminal and international courts in Russia. The relevant document was published on the official website of legal acts.

The law stipulates that decisions of foreign courts to which other states have granted jurisdiction in the field of criminal proceedings without Russia’s participation, as well as decisions of international judicial bodies whose jurisdiction is not based on an international treaty of the Russian Federation or on a United Nations Security Council resolution adopted under Chapter VII of the UN Charter, shall not be subject to enforcement in Russia.
