Germany held early elections for the Bundestag today, where according to the latest results, Friedrich Merz is in a strong position to become the next Chancellor.
The leader of LDK, Lumir Abdixhiku, reacted to CDU’s victory in the elections, stating that it is an important day for Germany and a new opportunity for Kosovo.
“An important day for Germany, a new opportunity for Kosovo. The victory of Friedrich Merz and CDU is a new window for our Republic.
I have followed up by sending my congratulations to Mr. Merz and our friends in CDU. In every meeting I’ve had with the future German Chancellor, I have always received support for our Republic and for the Democratic League of Kosovo. He knows our journey well and strongly supports our goals,” wrote Abdixhiku.
He added that CDU’s victory is a strengthening of the European right, and remains a hope for our country.
