“Albania Soon to Have a Super Warship,” Says Rama: Military Salaries Exceed Even Serbia’s

The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, said that during his tenure, investments in the military have been increased tenfold.

He emphasized that today, military salaries are the highest in the region.

“It was 28 million euros. The lowest-paid military in Europe and severely impacted by corruption. Today it is 280 million euros. Today, it is the highest-paid military in the region. We have even surpassed Serbia with military salaries. Our goal is that by the end of the fourth mandate in Albania 2030, the average salary will match the average salary of NATO countries,” Rama said.

Further, he announced that Albania would purchase a large warship but did not provide further details.

“We have found the right approach, and today it is a NATO tactical base. Today, with a fleet of helicopters and soon with a large warship, in addition to the smaller ones. This is just the beginning of a transformation. The military industry has started laying the foundations. We will revive the aviation school. We have made agreements with a very powerful international partner,” said Albanian Prime Minister, Rama. /a2cnn
