Bulgarian KFOR Soldiers Conduct Live-Fire Exercise in Kosovo

Soldiers from Bulgaria, part of NATO’s mission in Kosovo, carried out a live-fire exercise at the “Voloire” range near Camp Villaggio Italia, writes Gazeta Sinjali.

Through a post on the social media platform “Facebook,” KFOR stated that the purpose of the exercise was to maintain and improve the soldiers’ shooting skills, through individual weapon testing procedures, ensuring high operational readiness and security.

Bulgarian soldiers 🇧🇬 from the Regional Command West (RC-W) of the NATO-led #KFOR mission conducted live-fire training at the “Voloire” shooting range near Camp Villaggio Italia.

The exercise aims to maintain and enhance the soldiers’ shooting abilities through individual weapon testing procedures and to maintain a high level of readiness and security.

KFOR continues to fulfill its mandate – based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 from 1999 – to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo, as well as freedom of movement. At all times, KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective security roles.
