Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama has joined world leaders in France for the “Coalition of the Willing” Summit for Ukraine. Hosted at the explicit invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron, the high-level diplomatic forum brought together heads of state and government to solidify and synchronize international defensive and financial backing for Ukraine.

High-Level Coordination in Paris

The summit serves as a crucial tactical platform for Western allies to align their long-term military assistance, humanitarian funding, and security strategies. Key global figures in attendance alongside Prime Minister Rama and President Macron included:

  • Volodymyr Zelensky — President of Ukraine
  • Mark Rutte — Secretary General of NATO

The leaders engaged in strategic discussions aimed at optimizing logistical corridors and enhancing multinational defense coordination to streamline support directly into Ukraine.

Expanding Franco-Albanian Relations

Following the conclusion of the strategic summit, Prime Minister Rama’s diplomatic itinerary in Paris will extend into France’s major national celebrations. At the continued invitation of President Macron, the Albanian Prime Minister will attend the official ceremonies marking Bastille Day (French National Day) on July 14, 2026.

The successive invitations reflect the strengthening political ties and shared security objectives between Tirana and Paris within the broader European framework.
