The Danish Ministry of Defense announced this Sunday that it has signed an agreement with Ukraine for investments in the country’s defense sector worth $628 million.
The agreement to continue cooperation with the Ukrainian defense industry was signed by Danish Defense Minister Troels Lund Poulsen and his Ukrainian counterpart, Rustem Umerov, along with Minister of Strategic Industry Herman Smetanin.
According to the statement, the Danish funds will help ensure that Ukrainian weapons and equipment reach the front lines.
Part of the funding will come from frozen Russian assets, while the rest will be provided by the Danish government.
“This strengthens Ukraine’s ability to produce exactly the weapons it needs,” said the Danish minister.
