Two officers from the Kosovo Security Force have been trained in the United States for Field Artillery.
NCOs Shpëtim Hasani, Labinot Osaj, and Arian Karaxha successfully completed the Basic Leadership Course for Field Artillery in the US.
The training aims to prepare military personnel for leadership roles in artillery units, including Fire Support Officers and Fire Direction Officers.
“As artillery unit leaders, participants gain practical knowledge of the American Howitzer systems, including the M777 (155mm), M109 (155mm), and M119 (105mm). In the Fire Support module, military personnel are trained on the specifics of howitzers, planning and requesting fire support, fire observation, and the types of support provided by field artillery. Additionally, in the Fire Direction Center, they are trained on calculations and various factors affecting precise targeting.”
Due to the successes demonstrated in the training, NCO Arian Karaxha received the “Distinguished International Honor Graduate” award, the statement added.
