Political analyst Ilir Deda has voiced strong support for the Democratic League of Kosovo’s (LDK) proposal for a Transitional Government, urging that it be treated with seriousness in cross-party dialogue and not dismissed outright.
🔹 “This proposal calls for shared responsibility during a difficult geopolitical moment and for joint decisions to reset Kosovo’s relations with the West on a positive track,” said Deda in a public statement.
Call for a Political Culture Shift
Deda emphasized that the LDK’s initiative is rooted in a determination to shift Kosovo’s political culture, encouraging unity among political forces in facing Kosovo’s worsening socioeconomic, political, and democratic challenges.
🔹 “It represents a commitment to collective responsibility in addressing the nation’s critical internal and external crises,” he said.
Responding to Polarization and Isolation
According to Deda, Kosovo is currently facing extreme political polarization and a strained relationship with Western allies. He stressed that every proposal aiming to overcome this divide must be given a fair hearing in inter-party dialogue.
🔹 “This is not a time for political egos. Proposals that aim to heal our democracy must not be rejected out of hand,” Deda insisted.
