Illegal Road Closed in Zveçan Used by the Banjska Terrorist Group

The road leading to the border with Serbia, known as Reka of Banjska, has until now been used as a secondary route by smugglers from Serbia.

To prevent this, the Kosovo Police have begun blocking the road.

Teve1 brings exclusive footage of the area where work is being carried out, which in 2023 served as a route used by the terrorist group involved in the attack on Banjska, led by Milan Radojičić.

According to sources from the television station, this road is also suspected to have been used for illegal crossings from Serbia into the northern part of the country.

The Deputy Director of the Kosovo Police for the Northern Region, Veton Elshani, stated that in addition to this road, others will also be closed.

Elshani told Teve1 that over 20 illegal roads have been closed so far near the Serbian border.

The closure of illegal roads in northern Kosovo began after security institutions raised suspicions that illegal arms and Serbian groups, which could undermine the country’s security, were entering through these routes.
